Ask My GP

If you wish to access a GP then registered patients of the Kingsway Surgery are able to add a request to the Ask my GP system between 8am and 10.30am, Monday to Friday.

All requests are reviewed by a GP and you can expect a response within 3 working days (72 hours).

All children under the age of 16 will be offered a same day appointment.  Urgent clinical request will be dealt with on the same day.

If your problem is a medical emergency after 10.30am, please ring the surgery on 01792 650716.

Cancellations

Don’t be a DNA!! If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible by telephone on 01792 650716 or texting CANCEL to an appointment text reminder, in order for us to give the slot to someone else who may need it. Failure to attend for a booked appointment on 3 separate occasions will result in the practice removing you from our list.

Home Visits

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will decide how urgently the visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule a home visit.

Non-Urgent Request

For non-urgent requests after Ask my GP closes, please email [email protected], where your request will be reviewed by a GP and you can expect a response within 3 working days (72 hours).

Chaperones

If you would like to have a chaperone with you during your consultation, please tell the receptionist at the time of making your appointment. A family member or friend may accompany you or, if you prefer, we will appoint a member of staff to act as chaperone.
